Join the Parent and Community Involvement Task Force and District staff on September 28 at 6:30 p.m. for the first Parent University webinar of the 2023/24 school year: The Science of Reading, FAST Assessment and Mental Health.
This session – for families of students in secondary grades – will provide hands-on strategies and resources that are scientifically proven to help enhance reading skills. Additionally, District staff will share information about the Florida Assessment For Student Thinking (FAST) and free mental health support available through BCPS – including school counseling; life skills and wellness; college, career and life readiness; Help is Here initiative, social workers and much more.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions at various points throughout the presentation, and closed captioning will be available in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian-Creole, Arabic, Chinese and Vietnamese.
