Camp Timberlake is a traditional Christian boys' summer camp located in the mountains of western North Carolina. Their mission is for campers to grow through friendship and adventure. Striving to not only provide a summer of fun and friendship, but in a larger sense, to develop a boy's character so they will be stronger mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Boys want a mission to accomplish because they are made to be challenged, to grow, and succeed. Campers share meals, go to a short chapel time, participate in activities, and play a big camp-wide game each night. Anything can happen during these evening activities, from Sock War, to Pirate Ball, from the slip-n-slip shaving cream war to Commando, but each one will surely be a blast.
Daily activities include archery, basketball, fencing, field sports, guitar, paintball, swimming, tennis, and more. Out-of-camp excursions in backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, rafting, water skiing, fly fishing and rock climbing also go out daily.
Timberlake’s 220 acres adjoin thousands of acres of protected wilderness, rising to meet Mount Mitchell, the highest peak on the East Coast. The buildings are rustic by design, working hard to strike a balance that allows our boys to develop a sense of adventure in a safe environment.
These will be times—shared with friends—that they will never forget.
